Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy covers the website at ombly.space. It explains what we collect when you visit, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Ombly is made by Dilpreet Grover and Rishabh Aggarwal.

This website never receives your documents. Ombly the product is built to process documents on your own computer or on your company's own servers. Nothing on this website asks you to upload a document.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you join the waitlist, along with which page you signed up from and when. It's stored in our database, hosted by Neon on servers in the United States.
  • What you send when you email us at dilpreetgrover2@gmail.com.
  • Booking details, if you book a call. Bookings are handled by Cal.com, which collects your name, email and the details you enter under its own privacy policy. Cal.com shares the booking with us so we can hold the call.
  • Anonymous visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read, along with the referring site, country, browser and device type. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't identify you or follow you across other websites.
  • Basic server logs. Like any website, the service that hosts ombly.space may briefly record technical details such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site.

What we don't do

  • No advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • No tracking cookies. See the cookie policy.
  • Fonts are served from ombly.space itself, so your visit isn't reported to a font provider.
  • We don't sell or rent your information.

How we use it

We use your email address to tell you when early access opens and, if you've booked a call, to arrange and follow up on that call. We don't send marketing beyond that without asking first.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist addresses until Ombly launches and early access has been offered, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first. Booking and email correspondence is kept for as long as it's needed for the conversation it relates to.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent you've given, for example to stay on the waitlist. If you're in the UK or the European Union, the GDPR gives you similar rights. You can also raise a complaint with us about how we handle your data. Email dilpreetgrover2@gmail.com and we'll respond as soon as we can.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
